DUSHANBE, 15.03.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The champion of Tajikistan – Dushanbe’s FC “Istiqlol” played a draw with the Turkmen “Altyn Asyr” (2-2) in the second round match of the 2018 AFC Cup group stage, missing the victory in the last minutes. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan.

According to the source, the goals of the Tajik club were scored by Nikolay Zenko in 50th minute and Ahtam Nazarov on a penalty. Unfortunately, scoring two goals, “Istiqlol” was unable to keep the winning result, conceding two ridiculous goals at the end of the match on the 90th and 90+3rd minutes.

It is reportedly said that another match of group D between the Turkmen “Ahal” and the champion of Kyrgyzstan – Osh’s FC “Alay” ended with the score 5:0.

According to the results of the two played rounds, “Altyn Asyr” and “Istiqlol”, having scored 4 points each, are placed on first and second lines in standings. “Ahal” has 3 points in its assets. “Alay”, having not scored a single point, is ranked last in the group.

We will recall that the matches of the third round will be held on April 11. On this day, FC “Istiqlol” will play with “Alay” at the Hissor Central Stadium, and two Turkmen clubs – “Ahal” and “Altyn Asyr” will meet in Ashgabat.
