Berlin hosted a Forum dedicated to the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts Development in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 14.03.2018 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Germany, as part of the 2018 Berlin International Tourism Exhibition, on March 9 held the Forum dedicated to the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts Development in Tajikistan. According to the MFA Information Department, to attend the event were invited chiefs of 16 domestic tourism companies led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan H. Amirbekzoda, the head of the representative office of the German Development Bank in Tajikistan K. Laabs, the representatives of the German Foreign Ministry, the representative of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, experts, members of the Tajik-German Friendship Society, as well as students.

In his opening speech, Tajik Ambassador Maliksho Nematov stressed that regular meetings between representatives of Tajik-German tourism companies will make a significant contribution to attracting a large number of tourists to Tajikistan.

Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan H. Amirbekzoda presented the detailed information of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the sphere of tourism development and noble goals of the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts Development announced by the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

In their speeches, the head of the representative office of the German Development Bank in Tajikistan K. Laabs, the author of the book in German “Guide to Tajikistan” D. Schreiber, and the chief of the Tajik travel company Sadullo Hasanov confirmed the importance and timeliness of the announcing of 2018 as the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts Development.

The Embassy of Tajikistan also organized tourism and cultural stands for viewing.
