DUSHANBE, 21.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Considering the fact that people’s health is the most important condition for the development of the country, Tajikistan’s government is attaching paramount importance to the issues related to public health.

Although significant progress has been made to improve maternal and child health in Tajikistan, the number of perinatal losses is still high, reported in the Tajik Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.

To this end, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population together with the WHO Regional Office for Europe and the WHO Representative Office in Tajikistan conducted an audit of stillbirth and early neonatal mortality as a tool to improve the quality of perinatal care.
