Head of Tajik Customs Service, Azerbaijani Ambassador discussed the issues of customs cooperation
Dushanbe, 29.01.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). — The Head of Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdufattoh Ghoib held a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tajikistan Abbasali Hasanov.
During the meeting it was noted that the foundation of bilateral relations between the two countries was established by national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The parties came to the general opinion that the Agreement signed in 2007 on mutual assistance and cooperation in customs field between the two countries creates a legal framework for the improvement of ties in this sphere.
The Ambassador noted that for the expansion of ties in trade-economic sphere between the countries it is necessary to take some measures regarding reforms to simplify procedures in the customs field with respect to Azerbaijani entrepreneurs.
Head of Customs Service has mentioned that it is necessary to sign an additional Protocol on the exchange of information between the countries.
