Tajik Interior Minister, British Ambassador discussed the issues of combating organized criminal groups
Dushanbe, 29.01.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). — The Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro has met with the British Ambassador to Tajikistan Hugh Stanley Philpott.
During the meeting the sides have discussed the issues related to bilateral cooperation in the fight against threats of the modern world, such as terrorism, extremism, illegal drug trafficking and human trafficking.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan noted the interest of the Tajik side in promoting regional and interregional cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, illegal drug trafficking and other organized transnational crimes.
It was noted that the fight against terrorism, drug trafficking, combating organized criminal groups are always considered to be one of the important directions of Internal Affairs bodies. Tajikistan is on the front line of the fight against drug trafficking, and takes all necessary measures in this direction.
Hugh Stanley Philpott, in his turn, emphasized that the elimination of these consequences is possible only in case of international cooperation and joint efforts.
