International community has condemned a series of terror attacks in Brussels
Dushanbe, 22.03.2016 (NIAT “Khovar”). – President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message of condolences to the King of Belgium Philippe Léopold Louis Marie.
In his condolences letter Emomali Rahmon said – “I am deeply saddened by the news of a series of terror explosions which took place at the airport and metro stations in Brussels and resulted in dozens of innocent people killed and a large number of citizens injured” and he added — “A wave of horrific inhuman terrorist acts that are being perpetrated nowadays around the world is a serious concern of mankind and once again stresses the need for collective ruthless struggle against this plague of the century
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that the latest deadly airport and metro attacks in the Belgian capital of Brussels once again underlines the need for coordinated efforts by the international community in combating the threats of terrorism.
“We strongly condemn this barbaric crime against civilians. The incident once again underlines the need for coordinated efforts by the international community in combating the threats of terrorism,” Medvedev said as quoted by the Cabinet’s press service.
Expressing condolences to Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, Medvedev asked to convey his sincere words of support to the victims’ families and friends and wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured.
Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel says «what we feared has happened, we were hit by blind attacks,» at a press conference. «This is a dark moment for our nation. We need calm and solidarity,» he added.
Prime minister of Great Britain David Cameron wrote “I am shocked and concerned by the events in Brussels. We will do everything we can to help.”
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Brussels and noted that the world must put up a joint resistance against terrorism. He said, “Terrorism is a threat not only to a single country or nation, but to the entire humanity.” In a statement, he said the world must put up a joint resistance and fight against terrorism.
President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz has urged everybody to follow institutions of Belgian authorities, “My thoughts are with Brussels and its citizens after these heinous attacks. Stay in a safe place, follow instructions of authorities,” he wrote on his Twitter feed.
Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius assessed Brussels incidents as horrible, “horrible news from Brussels. If blasts are an act of terrorism, we strongly condemn it as no political aims can be achived by violence”. And President Dalia Grybauskaite expressed solidarity with the injured.
European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc stressed thar she is shocked by the incidents, adding that they are following the developments.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs also was shocked by the incidents, he wrote, “terrible feeling “not if but when”, Latvia stands together with Brussels and Belgium in solidarity agains terrorism”.
President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili made a note over the incident, mentioning “I am deeply shocked about the terroristic attack in the Brussels airport. On behalf of the Georgian people I Express solidarity.
