The official report on the progress of special operations at the state border with Afghanistan
Dushanbe, 07.03.2016 (NIAT «Khovar») .- The Public Relations Center for the Main Directorate of Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan reports that on Saturday last week a clash between a border patrol and a nine-member group, which crossed over from Afghanistan, took place near the “Panj” district of Khatlon Region.
The fighters had crossed over from Afghanistan’s northern Qunduz province headed by a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mirafzal waladi Arbab Sherafzal.
As a result of exchange of fire, one of trespassers as Mulla Fashiddin waladi Qurban was killed and another one was wounded.
Unfortunately, one of Tajik border guard, Warrant Officer Suhrob Safolov was also killed in Saturday’s skirmish.
