G7 Summit opening in Japan
Dushanbe, 26.05.2016 / NIAT “Khovar” /. The leaders of the countries “the big seven” (G7) starts its annual meeting, which this time will take place in the ISE-Shima of the Japanese Prefecture mie Prefecture, some 300 kilometres South-West of Tokyo.
In the G7 summit, chaired by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will take the leaders of the United States Barack Obama, France’s Francois Hollande, Germany’s Angela Merkel, Britain’s David Cameron, Italy’s Matteo Renzi and Canada, Justin Trudeau. At the summit are also expected to be the head of the European Council Donald Tusk and Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.
As guests at the G7 summit in ISE-Shima invited the Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Prime Minister of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea Peter O’neill and Iris the President of Chad Deby Itno.
The G7 leaders will discuss the counterterrorism, territorial disputes, nuclear weapons, the situation with migrants and energy issues. Considerable attention will be given to economic and financial policy.
On Friday at the summit, will be made public the final declaration of the meeting participants.
This is the first summit meeting in Japan after the one held in Hokkaido in 2008.
G7 consists of the leading industrial nations: the U.S., Germany, Japan, Britain, France, Italy, and Canada.
