Speaker of Majlisi namoyandagon of Tajikistan met with the President of Afghanistan
Dushanbe, 11.05.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Yesterday, the Chairman of Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov has met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani here in Dushanbe.
During the meeting the parties have discussed the issues of strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations between Dushanbe and Kabul. It was noted that between Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Loya Jirga of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan there are groups of friendship and cooperation, the aim of which is the creation of appropriate conditions for the development of inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.
The parties have also exchanged views on socio-economic, energy, road, communication and cultural issues, as well as on the close relations of border regions of the two countries.
