Tournament commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Tajikistan was held in USA
Dushanbe, 19.05.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On 15 May, 2016 the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations in cooperation with the Tajik American Association have organized the Football (Soccer) Tournament commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to Permanent Mission of the country to the United Nations, during this tournament 7 teams, mainly from New York and its surroundings were competing for the main prize “the Cup of the Tajik Mission at the UN”.
As a result, the team “USA” were the winners of the tournament, followed by the teams “Brooklyn” (2nd) and “Vahdati Milli” (3rd). The “best player” award went to player of the “USA” — Amirjon Sattorov
