Germany defeats Slovakia at the playoff match of Euro 2016
Dushanbe, 27.06.2016 / NIAT “Khovar” /. Germany has defeated Slovakia 3-0 in the Euro 2016 playoff.
The match was played in Lille on Sunday.
The goals were scored by Jerome Boateng in the 8th minute, Mario Gomez in the 43rd minute and Julian Draxler in thr 63rd minute.
Germany will face in the quarter-finals on July 2 the winner of the knockout stage match between Spain and Italy.
The Euro 2016 is held in France between June 10 and July 10 with matches played in 10 different locations, namely in Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, Saint-Denis, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse.
A total of 24 European national teams qualified for the Euro Cup final tournament in 2016, after the contestants’ format, which was used since 1996, was decided to be extended from 16 to 24 teams.
