New project to improve food security opens in Dushanbe
Dushanbe, 09.06.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Nematullo Hikmatullozoda has received the delegation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO UN) headed by Mauricio Rosales on June 8 in Dushanbe.
According to given Ministry’s press service, the purpose of the visit was the opening of a new project “Capacity Development to strengthen food and nutrition security in selected countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia”, which will be implemented in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
During the meeting the parties have discussed the issues concerning the new project of cooperation between Tajikistan and FAO UN in the field of agriculture, food security, social protection and other fields.
