US-led airstrikes killed 250 IS fighters near Fallujah
Dushanbe, 30.06.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. U.S.-led coalition aircraft waged a series of deadly strikes against Islamic State around the city of Fallujah on Wednesday, Reuters reports quoting U.S. defense officials.
According to a source, at least 250 fighters killed and 40 vehicles destroyed.
“There was a strike on a convoy of ISIS fighters trying to leave a neighborhood on the outskirts of southern Fallujah that we struck,” a U.S. defense official said.
The officials noted that preliminary estimates can change.
