Briefing on security situation in Afghanistan was held in Dushanbe
Dushanbe, 25.07.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. On July 22, 2016 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held a briefing of the United States delegation for official representatives of Tajikistan on security situation in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
According to Tajik MFA Information Department, the United States delegation was led by Laurel Miller Departmentof State, Principal Deputy Senior Representative for Afghanistan & Pakistan. The briefing was also attended by the representatives of enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
At the end of the meeting, the US delegation responded to various questions of the Tajik side on the subject.
It should be noted that the delegation of the United States holds a briefing on Afghanistan for Central Asian states since 2011. The purpose of the briefing is to exchange views on the process of establishing and maintaining peace and security in Afghanistan.
