Qatari former Emir Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani dies
Dushanbe, 24.10.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Qatar’s former Emir Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani has died at the age of 84, Qatari state television said on Sunday.
Qatar’s current Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, declared a three-day mourning in the country, TASS reports.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, the grandfather of the current emir, was born on September 17, 1932. He was the sixth ruler of Qatar and the second ruler of the Al Thani dynasty.
