Tajikistan, Japan discuss issues to fight against negative phenomena
Dushanbe, 18.11.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Yesterday, November 17 at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan the Interior Minister of the country Ramazon Rahimzoda held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Tajikistan Hajime Kitaoka. It has been reported by the press centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
“The two parties had an exchange of views on the issues of bilateral and multilateral relations in fighting against negative phenomena, such as terrorism, extremism, illegal drugs and weapons trafficking, as well as the training of highly qualified personnel, providing assistance related to medical equipment and other issues of mutual interest”, — Ministry’s message said.
Ambassador Kitaoka noted the importance of security of the Republic of Tajikistan for the Japanese government. “The security of the Republic of Tajikistan is very important for the State of Japan”,- he said.
According to him, Japan has established a good cooperation with the Republic of Tajikistan in all areas, in particular in economic, social and cultural spheres. He has also voiced hope that this cooperation will further develop.
At the meeting it was also reportedly noted that bilateral relations in fighting against modern world threats and challenges will be further strengthened.
