Dushanbe hosts 4th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and Republic of Uzbekistan
DUSHANBE, 29.12.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The 4th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and Republic of Uzbekistan took place on December 28 here in Dushanbe.
The results of the last meeting have visually shown great importance that the parties attach to the development of their mutual relations on a bilateral basis.
Tajik-Uzbek relations have always been differed by greater striving to the strengthening and expansion of the historically friendly relations based on good-neighborhood feelings of mutual support and brotherly assistance.
Both Tajik and Uzbek sides have ambitious plans for the further development of fruitful cooperation, implementation of joint regional character projects and the development of cultural and inter-ethnic dialogue.
The meeting of the Commission took place in a constructive way and in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding. During the meeting the parties discussed a wide range of topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including the basic parameters of cooperation in the spheres of economy and trade, transport, industry, culture and education.
The main principles and approaches to solving issues related to the increase in trade turnover were also discussed.
The parties came to an agreement and have set targets to address these and other issues.
