DUSHANBE, 24.01.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Ramazon Rahimzoda, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, has met with Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan on January 21. It has been reported by the press centre of the given ministry.

According to the statement of the ministry, at first Minister congratulated Mrs. Gouedard on her appointment to this important position and wished her success in the performance of official duties. It was noted that diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and French Republic were established on March 3, 1992. In this context, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Paris was opened in 2013.

“During the meeting the two parties have discussed the issues of fight against terrorism, extremism, illegal drug and weapons trafficking, natural emergency situations, as well as information and experience exchange”, — it is stated in the statement.

“The mutually beneficial cooperation will be further strengthened and the collective struggle against all kinds of negative phenomena will bring the desired effect”, — adding Mrs. Gouedard, said “the peace of Tajikistan is very important for us, Frenchmen”.

The parties had also an exchange of views on the issues of preventing of joining young people to political parties and illegal movements, their participation in armed conflicts in foreign states and their proper upbringing.
