Goals and priorities of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 discussed in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 10.03.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The goals and priorities of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 were discussed on March 9 at the meeting of Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mr. Aimilios Chazinikolaous, Representative of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
According to the press centre of the ministry, during the meeting the parties have also discussed the Medium-Term Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2016-2020, in particular, achieving energy independence and efficient use of electricity, breaking the communication deadlock and turning Tajikistan into a transit country, ensuring food security and expanding productive employment.
In addition, the parties have discussed issues related to the development of the private sector, attracting investment, creating new jobs, supporting domestic producers, etc.
At the end of the meeting, both parties have expressed their interest in intensifying mutually beneficial cooperation in all prioritized areas.
