DUSHANBE, 30.05.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. In accordance with the Program of cooperation of States-participants of the Commonwealth of Independent States /CIS/ in combating terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism for 2017-2019, there will be held the meeting of managing staff of anti-terrorist subdivisions of security bodies and special services of the CIS States-participants in Dushanbe from May 31 to June 1, 2017.

Within the framework of the Meeting it is scheduled:

— summing up the results of the first phase of a joint anti-terrorist competent bodies of CIS countries “Dushanbe-Antiterror-2017”;

— the holding of force (final) phase of the exercises – the counter-terrorist operation to free hostages and neutralize conditional terrorists at a critical facility (republican television station); the holding of joint military operation by units of the armed forces of Russia and Tajikistan to block and destroy the gangs, broking through the border of the Republic of Tajikistan (involved units of the Central military district, the 201st Russian military base and aviation groupings of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Border Troops of the State National Security Committee and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Tajikistan).

The program of the Meeting envisages approache to the press with the participation of management of the Anti-terrorist center of the States-participants of the CIS, the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan, the command of Central Military District of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the demonstration of special equipment and weapons.

The participants and guests of the two-day events will be delegations of security agencies, special services and anti-terrorist units of the CIS States-participants, Charter bodies and bodies of sectoral cooperation of the CIS, and international organizations.
