Protecting it, Tajikistan protects the Eurasian and European region”, — said Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary following the meeting with the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
According to him, the containment of terrorism, religious extremism and illegal drug trafficking on the Tajik-Afghan border contributes significantly to security in Europe. “We intend to initiate financial assistance to Tajikistan by the European Union in the amount of 100 million euros to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan border”, — he said.
