DUSHANBE, 13.06.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon held a working session on topical issues of socio-economic development of the country.

Prime Minister of Tajikistan, his first deputy and deputies, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office and her deputies, Assistants to the President, the Chairman of Dushanbe city attended the session.

Other participants in the session included the heads of all the relevant ministries and the heads of law enforcement agencies.

During the working session the results of socio-economic development of the country for six months of this year and priorities for the coming period were discussed.

President Emomali Rahmon drew the attention of the session’s participants to the issues of development of activities of Councils and state and governmental commissions, particularly in the economic sectors, and timely implementation of investment projects.

The participants of the meeting also considered the issues regarding creative and beautification works, providing cities’ and districts’ markets with basic food and agricultural products.

The heads of ministries and departments were instructed to take measures to ensure timely food security, agricultural land use efficiency, and performance indicators for agriculture development program, carrying out sowing campaign, storage and preservation of agricultural products, in particular fruits, vegetables, grains and fodder for livestock.

The participants of the session were demanded to ensure the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Observing National Traditions and Rituals in the Republic of Tajikistan” and the effective use of parks, recreation and cultural centers, swimming pools and other recreational facilities.
