Ramazon Rahimzoda: “As a result of joint measures of the CIS Ministries of Internal Affairs were achieved significant results in the prevention of crimes”
DUSHANBE, 28.06.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The cooperation of the CIS Ministries of Internal Affairs in combating crime and negative phenomena is fruitful and currently at a high level. It was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Ramazon Rahimzoda during the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS states-participants in Dushanbe.
According to him, only by joint efforts struggle against transnational crime is being currently conducted. In particular, as a result of joint measures were achieved high results in the prevention of such crimes as terrorism, extremism, illegal narcotic substances trafficking and organized crime.
The Chairman of the Council of CIS Ministers of Internal Affairs, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev having supported his colleague, noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan is a reliable partner of the CIS states — participants in struggle against threats and challenges of the modern world.
The prospects for cooperation between the CIS Ministries of Internal Affairs and implementation of interstate programs on combating crime, the draft of the international cooperation programmes in the fight against crime for 2019-2023, implementation of decisions previously adopted by the Council of CIS Ministers of Internal Affairs to ensure public order and security of citizens during mass events were discussed at the meeting.
Participants of the meeting have also considered the draft Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement on Cooperation of the CIS states — participants in combating drugs trafficking, psychotropic substances and precursors dated November 30, 2000, on implementation of the Resolution of the Council of the Ministries of Internal Affairs dated September 6, 2016 “On cooperation of Internal Affairs bodies (police) of the CIS member states in the field of countering the involvement of CIS citizens in terrorist and extremist organizations”.
