DUSHANBE, 20.07.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. In connection with the inclusion of the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan in the List of terrorist, extremist and separatist organizations of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (RATS SCO), NIAT “Khovar” officially declares:

1. On September 29, 2015, by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan the IRPT was recognized as a terrorist and extremist organization, whose activity is banned on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan. 2. On January 29, 2016, the RATS SCO, in accordance with the List of terrorist, extremist and separatist organizations, whose activities are banned on the territory of the SCO member states, included the IRPT (No. 79) in the list of terrorist organizations. Thus, the SCO uniting 8 large states of the world and occupying an area of ​​3.4 million km2 with a population of more than 3.3 billion, recognized the IRPT as a terrorist organization. 3. On July 11-12 of this year at the meeting of the working group of the KALKAN Project in the line of activity of Interpol and the IRI Police in Tehran, Deputy Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS Mukashev Akhat Gabbasovich stated: “The key priority of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure is to counter foreign fighters-terrorists. To this end, an information is exchanged on the activities of the international terrorist organizations “Islamic State”, “Jabhat al-Nusra”, “Hizb ut-Tahrir al Islami”, “Islamic Movement of Eastern Turkestan”, ”Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan” and others … «. 4. On September 18, 2015, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan has filed a criminal charge against the head of terrorist and extremist organization IRPT M. Kabiri in accordance with the articles 179 part 3 (Terrorism), 187 part 1 (Organization of the criminal community), 189 (Excitation of national, racial, local or religious hostility), 313 (Armed rebellion) and 247 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. On September 21, 2015 M. Kabiri, suspected of involvement in committing serious crimes, was included in the international list of wanted persons (INTERPOL/controlno: A-7781/9-2015). In the search register, he is marked with a red sign. This list also includes several leaders and activists of the terrorist and extremist organization IRPT.
