Abduqahhor Ghaffurov took 2nd place at the 9th International Children’s “Mugham” Festival in Baku
DUSHANBE, 31.10.2017 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The final ceremony of the 9th International Children’s “Mugham” Festival was held in Baku, Azerbaijan on October 25th.
According to the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abduqahhor Ghaffurov represented Tajikistan in this festival and performed the music of “Tasnifi chorgah” in Azerbaijani language. He took the second place in the competition.
Since 2009 the festival is being held in Azerbaijan. The purpose of this festival is to identify youth talents and to exchange international experience, which will allow young people of foreign countries to get acquainted with the culture and art of Azerbaijan.
The young people up to 16 years from Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan took part in the competition.
