DUSHANBE, 08.02.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The vice-champion of Tajikistan — the football club “Khujand” sent a list of players, added for the 2018 AFC Cup to the Asian Football Confederation.

According to the press service of the Tajik Football Federation, FC “Khujand” added two legionaries-midfielders — Sergei Chebotarev (Ukraine) and Furqatjon Hasanboev (Uzbekistan) for the AFC Cup matches. Earlier, the vice-champion of Tajikistan included to its list Ghanaian attacker Agble Jones and Estonian goalkeeper Alexei Matrosov. In total, the application of “Khujand” includes 20 players — 3 goalkeepers, 6 defenders, 8 midfielders and 3 attackers. According to the rules of the AFC Cup, in case of advancing to the group stage of the tournament, the silver medalist of Tajikistan can include 5 more players in its application.

We will recall that in the 2018 AFC Cup playoffs matches, FC “Khujand” plays with Turkmen “Ahal”. The first leg takes place on Tuesday, February 13, at the stadium “Sports Toplumy” in Balkanabad, and the return leg — on February 20 at the stadium “20th anniversary of Independence of Tajikistan” in Khujand. The winner of this pair will advance to the group stage of the 2018 AFC Cup, where will meet with FC “Istiqlol” (Tajikistan), “Altyn Asyr” (Turkmenistan) and “Alay” (Kyrgyzstan) in group D.
