March 8 is marked in Tajikistan as the Mother’s Day
DUSHANBE, 07.03.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. March 8 is annually marked worldwide as the International Women’s Day. In Tajikistan, this day is traditionally marked as Mother’s Day for almost 10 years.
Every year, according to the established tradition, the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon congratulates all women on the upcoming holiday, thus paying special attention to the role of women in society.
In Tajikistan, March 8 was proclaimed as Mother’s Day — in order to pay tribute to the mother — woman, the educator of the generations, the mentor of the youth, the stable support of the family. Mother’s Day in Tajikistan is marked by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon since 2009. “The image of the mother has been and remains the personification of all holy and eternal for our nation from time immemorial”, — Emomali Rahmon stressed repeatedly in his speeches.
