The main match of the second round of the highest league of the Tajikistan Football Championship, as they say in football circles “match a six points”, ended with a victory of FC “Khujand” over FC “Istiklol” (4:3), the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan reports.

The central match of the 10th tour of the national championship between the two contenders for gold medals held in the presence of 8,500 spectators in Khujand city, turned out bright, beautiful, spectacular and rich in goals. The goals of “Istiqlol” were scored by Nikolai Zenko (21 min.), Nozim Bobojonov (24 min.) and Romish Jalilov (36 min.), and “Khujand” goals – Hasan Rustamov (26 min.), Farhod Tohirov (28 min.), Hikmatullo Rasulov (65) min.) and Dilshod Bozorov (90 min.).

After this strong-willed victory, FC “Khujand”, gaining 23 points, became the sole leader. “Istiklol” is 3 points behind the “Khujand”, but has a match in reserve. The struggle for “gold” between “Khujand” and “Istiqlol” is getting aggravated.
