DUSHANBE, 25.06.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. World boxing champion on WBC and WBB version Mehrubon Sanginov defeated the well-known Mexican boxer Fermin Canedo by technical knockout in the third round.

The fight took place on the evening of June 23 in Tijuana of Mexico and was broadcast on the Mexican TV Televisa at 7:00 local time. Following this duel NIAT “Khovar” correspondent had short interview with Mehrubon Sanginov.

“8 months passed after my last championship fight, in my career there were great difficulties, but my victory put everything in its place. Today there was so much emotion and joy, I fulfilled my promise to my fans — I won a technical knockout in the third round. I am glad to inform you that I returned to the technical system. I want to thank my father for his support and all those who were around and gave me hope. I am immensely happy and proud that I got the opportunity to box overseas and glorify my beloved country — Tajikistan. I dedicate my victory, defense of the WBC Youth title to all the Tajik people”, — said our champion Mehrubon Sanginov.

In continuation of his interview Tajik boxer noted that he was in good shape and good health, which instilled complete confidence in himself.

“Practice shows that the athlete, first of all, must be confident in himself and worthy of evaluating his chances of victory. Of course, hard work also gives real results. As for preparing, I can say with confidence that everything goes right. A professional coach Justin Gamber, who coached many champions is engaged with me”, — added the boxer.
