International Center for the Implementation of the Decade for Action will be created in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 20.06.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. An International Center for the Implementation of the Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028 will be created in Dushanbe. It was stated today, June 20, by the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon at the International High-Level Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028, reported NIAT “Khovar” correspondent Payrav QOSIM.
Leader of the Nation noted the need to create an additional platform for interaction with the aim of preparing and promoting a new resolution of the UN General Assembly on the mid-term review of the implementation of the Decade.
“We hope for the active support of our partners in the promotion of this resolution within the framework of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly”, — emphasized President Emomali Rahmon.
The Head of Tajik state also stated that efforts to create mechanisms to facilitate the implementation of the Decade should be strengthened with the necessary human, financial and technical resources.
