Rector of Tajik National University elected as the President of the Association of Asian Universities
DUSHANBE, 21.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Rector of Tajik National University /TNU/, academician Muhammadyusuf Imomzoda was elected as the President of the Association of Asian Universities. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the vice-rector of TNU on international relations Khairullo Ghafurov.
According to him, Muhammadyusuf Imomzoda was elected to this post on September 20 at the third Forum of the Association of Asian Universities in Barnaul of the Russian Federation.
It should be noted that the forum was attended by representatives of more than 70 authoritative higher educational institutions from 9 countries of the world.
During the discussion of candidates for this post, the achievements of the Tajik National University in the field of implementing new management methods, development and significant advances in science, training, international cooperation, successful coverage of joint training programs with foreign colleagues, establishment and effective management of councils for defense of international scientific dissertations were taken into account.
According to Khairullo Ghafurov, at the forum the TNU achievements were recognized as a leading example and recommended for implementation by other universities — members of the Association.
We will recall that the Association of Asian Universities was established by 29 universities in 9 countries, including Tajikistan. Rector of Tajik National University Muhammadyusuf Imomzoda will hold the office of Association’s President for a period of 2 years.
