Tajik embassy in Turkey hosts Independence Day reception
DUSHANBE, 24.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”, Ankara). The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Turkey has organized a Celebration meeting devoted to the 27th Anniversary of State Independence of the Republic Tajikistan in Ankara.
Representatives of Turkey’s Republic Government, Mass Media, Diplomatic Corps, students and citizens of Tajikistan residing in Ankara have participated in celebration.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan in Turkey Mahmadali Rajabiyon welcomed the guests and stressed that”Independence and freedom brought cardinal changes in the fate of Tajik nation, which became the beginning of the qualitatively new historical phase for Tajikistan. During the 27 years the Government of Tajikistan could lay foundation for the real independence and national statehood, strengthening the activities of supreme legislative body and executive branch of the country. Over the course of this period comprehensive policy and legal reforms programs were implemented, and created favorable conditions for economic development. Tajikistan has made significant achievements in key areas of the country’s development, including industry, energy, transport and communication, agriculture and other sectors.In the social spheres, especially the science, education, healthcare and culture the qualitative changes were bestowed. Ensuring sustainable economic development and thus improving living standard of the people is the strategic goal of the State and the Government. At the same time, the Government of Tajikistan is committed to consistently resolve the issue of ensuring sustainable economic development, improving public administration system, developing the real sectors of economy, as well as strengthening the export potential of the country, improving the investment climate, supporting entrepreneurship, social protection of the population, improving the labor market situation and human development. During this period, taking into account the experience of state-building and statehood of developed countries, Tajikistan has taken path in the democratization and rule of law. The Government of Tajikistan takes practical measures to ensure the fundamental human rights — freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, pluralism, freedom of activity of political parties, public organizations and mass media.Tajikistan became a full-fledged member of the world community and influential international organizations during the independence and has established effective political, economic and diplomatic relations with many countries of the world. Today the core of the foreign policy of the country is based on the concept of «Open Doors» and firm pragmatic standpoint in relation to major international and regional issues, as well as expansion and deepening of bilateral and multilateral relations with foreign countries. In this regard, I would like to emphasize that the friendly and brotherly country of Turkey was the first country to recognize the independence of the Republic of Tajikistan (on January 29, 1992).”
Thus, the organization of celebration meeting contributes to introduction of Tajik statehood and culture to various audiences and enables collaborations and friendly ties among different nations.
