Scientific and practical conference on the “Potential and problems of tourism in the Kulob region” was held in Khatlon province
DUSHANBE, 01.10.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The scientific and practical conference on the “Potential and problems of tourism in the Kulob region” dedicated to the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts Development and the International Tourism Day was held in the State Institution “Public Library of the Khatlon province named after Sadriddin Ayni” of the Kulob city, the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan reports.
Before the beginning of the conference, the guests got acquainted with the photo exhibition and samples of the creative work of folk craftsmen, as well as an exhibition of books prepared by the workers of the regional library. The conference was opened by the director of the “Public Library of Khatlon province named after Sadriddin Ayni” of the Kulob city Saymuhammad Obidov. The conference was also addressed by the director of the Republican Complex of Museums of Kulob Hotam Asozoda, teachers and students-applicants of the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management of the Kulob city.
It was noted that tourism is one of the important spheres representing history and culture, nature and national traditions. Speakers also exchanged views on the existing potential and problems of tourism in Kulob.
It was noted that altars of Zoroastrian temples were found in Kulob region, where the sacred fire burned thousands of years ago. Visiting the shrines of prominent scholars of the era of Zoroastrianism and the Islamic period, the companions and descendants of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who are located on the territory of this and other regions of Khatlon province can not but interest fans of antiquity and ancient legends.
Kulob city, as well as Danghara, Temurmalik, Baljuvon, Vose, Muminobod, Shamsiddin Shohin districts will affect the visitors by monuments preserved for descendants. The historical complex of Hulbuk (9-11th cc), Mausoleum Mir Said Ali Hamadoni (14th century), Shaqiqi Balkhi (9th century), Shah Nematulloi Valy (14th century), Sulton Uwaisi Qarani (7th century), as well as the Sari Khosor Valley, Khoja Mumin Salt Mountain, the fabulous Childukhtaron mountains will become a revelation for many. Moreover, scholars of theology and people who know more of these issues will tell a lot about them.
It should be noted that with the direct support of the Executive body of state authority of Khatlon province and the leadership of the Tourism Development Department in the Kulob region, the “Information Center for Tourism Development in the Kulob region” was presented in the information department of the library. The purpose of opening this center is daily familiarization of guests and visitors with the necessary information in tourism sphere.
