Tajiks Win 9 Medals at the Central Asian Karate Championship
DUSHANBE, 20.12.2018 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik martial arts athletes won nine medals (four gold, three silver and two bronze) at the Central Asian Karate Championship.
Muhammadhuja Azamatov (52 kg), Parviz Aziziyon (70 kg) and Umed Safarov (76 kg) won gold medals. The fourth gold medal was received in the team competition, reported Karate-Do Federation of Tajikistan.
Muhammad Teshaev (55 kg), Bekzod Mahmudov (76 kg) and Abduvahhob Sharapov (67 kg) became the recipients of the silver medal.
Hojikurbon Mahmadov (60 kg) and Farrukh Rahimov(87 kg) won bronze medals.
The Central Asian Karate Championship took place on December 17-18 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Afghan, Kazakh, Kyrgyz,Turkmen, Uzbek and Iranian athletes also took part in the championship.
