Sada Will Be Celebrated in Khujand on January 27
KHUJAND, 25.01.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Sada will be celebrated in Khujand on January 27 near the Kamol Khujandi Musical Comedy Theater.
Officials from 18 districts and cities of the province currently continue the preparatory works for Sada celebrations. According to the plan, this holiday will be celebrated on January 28-29 in all provincial cities and districts at a high organizational level, reported Orif Nabiyev, head of the Department of Culture of the Office of the Chairman of the Sughd Province.
City and district officials will also organize an exhibition of handicrafts, which will also be for sale. The art of creating goldwork, making traditional fabrics such as atlas, adras, and the suzani embroidery will also be presented. Visitors will be able to see artwork by Tajik artists and designers, try confectionery and dishes by local chefs, and enjoy a folklore program.
Representatives of six organizations growing young seedlings will organize an exhibition and sale of fruit, shadow-forming and ornamental trees, seedlings of flowers and shrubs, and seeds of agricultural crops, says Abduaziz Mahmudzoda, a representative of the Main Department of Agriculture of the Sughd Province.
Following the festivities in the districts and smaller cities of the province, Sada celebrations will move onto Khujand, where the main regional program for Sada will take place on January 30. The program there will also include a concert and a theatrical performance called Nurafshon.
