Tajik Interior Minister Had a Meeting with a Number of Qatari Officials
DUSHANBE, 19.02.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Ramazon Rahimzoda visited Qatar on February 16-18. The visit took place at the invitation of the Qatari Prime Minister who is also the Minister of Internal Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, reported the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs.
On Saturday, Rahimzoda met with Al Thani to discuss issues relating to security cooperation, resolution of regional conflicts, development and expansion of interaction.
During his trip, Rahimzoda visited the National Center for Emergency Management and Response of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Qatar, where he got acquainted with the center’s organization and practices. The parties discussed the cooperation in emergency situations and issues relating to the exchange of experience in the field of public security.
Later the same day, Rahimzoda visited the Police College of Qatar, where he met with the college’s leadership in order to discuss cooperation between the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and the Police College.
Following the meeting, a protocol on cooperation in the field of education was signed between the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and the Police College of Qatar.
Rahimzoda also met with the Attorney General of Qatar Ali Bin Fetais Al-Marri yesterday in Doha.
The parties discussed issues relating to the bilateral cooperation in the legal sphere, in the disclosure of economic crimes, and also made a number of constructive proposals for the implementation of cooperation between the bodies of the two countries.
During Rahimzoda’s meeting with the Special Envoy of Qatar on the Fight against Terrorism Mutlaq bin Majid Al Qahtan, the parties discussed further strengthening cooperation of the two friendly countries in the fight against modern threats and exchanged their views on regional and international issues.
Additionally, Rahimzoda visited the Organizing Committee of the World Cup 2022, where he got acquainted with the preparatory work.
