Heads of CIS Border Agencies Laid a Wreath at the Ismoili Somoni Monument in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 26.02.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Heads of CIS Border Agencies visited the main square of Dushanbe called Dusti (friendship) today within the 4th Regional Meeting of the Heads of the Border Agencies of the Central Asian Region of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The floral wreath was laid at the monument of the founder of the first Tajik state Ismoili Somoni.
The heads of Border Agencies of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia and other officials took part in this ceremony.
The 4th Regional Meeting of the Heads of Border Agencies of the Central Asian Region of the CIS is currently being held at the National Library of Tajikistan in Dushanbe.
Participants will discuss the issues relating to enhancing cooperation of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops with the working structures of international and regional organizations in order to increase the effectiveness of countering new challenges and threats to the border security.
