DUSHANBE, 27.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik rower Shahriyor Daminov won a gold medal on March 24 in the 2019 India World Rowing Cup by completing 1000 meters. He also won a bronze medal in the 500 meters on March 23.

For Tajik rowers participation in the India World Cup was the first practical experience before the World Championship, which will be held this August in Budapest, Hungary. Tajik athletes will also take part in two rounds of the Cup in Poland and Germany in May.

The athletes who will place first to fifth at the World Championships will move on to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
