Tajikistan and Azerbaijan to Increase Transit Freight
DUSHANBE, 18.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The 7th Baku Forum was held on March 13-14 in Baku at the initiative of the International Center named after Nizami Ganjavi. The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Nematullo Hikmatullozoda attended the forum, reported the Tajik Embassy in Azerbaijan.
Hikmatullozoda met with the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev within the forum. The parties discussed bilateral relations, focusing on the issue relating to increasing the transit of Tajik cargo through Azerbaijan’s territory.
The Azerbaijani side expressed its readiness to consider the issue of providing favorable conditions for Tajik cargo carriers by providing reasonable transit transport tariffs for the carriage of goods by road, railway and sea.
