The Popularity of Tajik Lemons and Persimmonon in the World Market Increases
DUSHANBE, 15.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Soon Tajik lemons and persimmons will appear on the shelves of world markets. The Agency for Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection under the Government of Tajikistan (TajikStandard) in cooperation with international organizations Hilfswerk Austria, GIZ and the UNDP Office in Tajikistan established a technical working group on the export of domestic products outside the country. This initiative was taken in order to support entrepreneurs, increase imports and develop standards for agricultural products and unhindered access to the world market.
The working group has developed scientific monographs on international standards “UNECE FFV-25” for export and quality control of early onion products and the standard “UNECE FFV-63” for export and quality control of persimmons.
The working group is currently developing an international standard for lemons based on international requirements, which involves removing natural and technical defects, and getting samples of various sorts of lemons.
