Tajikistan and Iraq Discuss the Fight Against Dangerous Crimes
DUSHANBE, 01.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Ikrom Umarzoda met with a delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Iraq headed by the Deputy Head of the Office of Inquiry Basim Karim Muso.
“The fight against crime and modern challenges and threats will continue to be implemented through joint efforts and cooperation,” Umarzoda noted while welcoming the guests.
The parties discussed cooperation in the fight against terrorism, extremism and other dangerous crimes and put forward a number of constructive proposals, reported the Press Centre of the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
A draft of a memorandum of understanding on security cooperation between Tajikistan’s MIA and Iraq’s MIA was also touched upon.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their confidence in the development of bilateral cooperation.
