European Council President Tusk: Sarez Lake Looks Beautiful…
DUSHANBE, 31.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The European Council President Donald Tusk, as part of his visit to Tajikistan, visited Sarez Lake.
“Witnessing the effects of climate change in the most remote region of Tajikistan!”, Tusk posts his views on his Facebook page following the visit to Sarez Lake.
“The Sarez Lake looks beautiful… Let’s imagine how beautiful it was when it was surrounded by ice glaciers! Natural cycles are changing here, 5 glaciers have already disappeared, water is rising,” Tusk continues.
“Climate change is a global issue we need to fight together!”, Tusk urges.
