President Emomali Rahmon Not Indifferent to the Fate of Tajik Citizens, Regardless of Their Place of Residence
DUSHANBE, 03.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Per instructions of President Emomali Rahmon, with the support of Tajikistan’s government and in cooperation with the Iraqi and Kuwaiti foreign ministries and Tajik and Iraqi intelligence agencies, UNICEF and other international organizations, eighty-four Tajik children were repatriated on April 30 by a special flight from Baghdad to Dushanbe.
The Deputy Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Muzaffar Davlatzoda called President Rahmon’s initiative a courageous and patriotic act.
“The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon constantly emphasizes in his speeches that the main task of every noble person is to protect national and religious values, to strive to do good, to be fair, merciful and generous and to support the orphans and the needy,” said Davlatzoda.
Thanks to the benevolent and humanistic initiative of President Emomal Rahmon, eighty-four Tajik minors have been repatriated from the war-torn Iraq to Tajikistan. Their parents went astray and succumbed to the words of the enemies of mankind and joined the ranks of the Islamic State terrorist group. Some of them were killed in destructive wars, while some others remain in Syrian and Iraqi prisons. Despite the fact that they committed treason against their homeland, the state and the government of Tajikistan made great effort to ensure that their innocent children are repatriated, according to Davlatzoda.
“Tajikistan is a social state, and its Constitution is proclaimed humane, individual rights and freedoms are of highest value, and therefore the citizen’s right to life, dignity and honor are inviolable. Repatriated children will be surrounded by care and attention, their training and education will be under the control of relevant authorities,” said Davlatzoda.
“We are witnessing the disasters caused by the members of the terrorist organization Islamic State and therefore we should be grateful to the government of Tajikistan and personally to President Emomali Rahmon, for the peace and tranquility that prevail in our country and to protect them, as the head of state says in his speeches, like the apple of the eye,” stated Davlatzoda.
