Repatriation of Minors from Iraq Shows President Emomali Rahmon’s is a Reasonable, Far-Sighted and Caring Politician
DUSHANBE, 03.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The recent repatriation of eighty-four Tajik minors from Iraq shows that the President is a reasonable, farsighted and caring politician, according to a local city official.
«This humanistic and noble act of President Emomali Rahmon is very timely, as these children were left unattended in Iraq with their fate uncertain,» stated the Deputy Chairman, Chief of Staff of the Executive Committee of People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Shohmansur District Izatullo Habibzod.
The repatriated children were being brought up lacking the things necessary for every child, according to the official.
«These children, who currently do not have sufficient life experience, first of all have the right to adult supervision, then to education and mastering of modern science and most importantly, to a decent life,» added Habibzod.
«These minors, whose parents are serving sentences in Iraqi prisons for participation in the wars in Iraq, for supporting ISIL and other terrorist groups, or for cooperating with terrorists, need psychological treatment and counceling as they have been growning in an unhealthy atmosphere,» noted Habibzod.
President Emomali Rahmon was the initiator of the repatriation effort, which included negotiations and collaboration between Tajik and Iraqi governmental departments and officials.
«These children should acknowledge the paternal support of President Emomali Rahmon and make every effort to grow up as responsible full-fledged adults,» he said.
«This initiative should be fully supported, as it testifies that the President shows great concern for the bright future of the young generation of the country’s independence period. This step is a logical continuation of the care and support of this outstanding historical man,» concluded Habibzod.
