Foreign Media Representatives Taken on an Excursion Through Dushanbe’s Historical and Cultural Sites
DUSHANBE, 14.06.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, representatives of foreign media who are in Tajikistan to cover the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), were taken on an excursion through the historical and cultural sites of Dushanbe.
The Assistant to the President of Tajikistan on Social Development and Public Relations Abdujabbor Rakhmonzod along with a number of local and foreign media representatives visited the Kokhi Navruz building.
Rahmonzoda welcomed the journalists and informed them about the preparations for the CICA summit, which will be held in Kokhi Navruz tomorrow.
The CICA summit in Dushanbe will be chaired by Tajikistan and will be covered by 650 media representatives, both local and foreign.
“Kokhi Navruz is the main venue of the CICA summit. The first and second floors have been prepared to serve as the press center,” said Rahmonzoda.
The press center, which can accommodate 450 people, is equipped with phones, fax and copying machines, stationary and 350 computers connected to high-speed internet. The summit will be broadcast live on both floors with devices available for its simultaneous translation into Russian, English and Chinese.
Following Kokhi Navruz, media representatives were taken on a tour of the Park Rudaki and the National Library of Tajikistan.
This evening, media representatives will visit the Park of Cyrus the Great and will attend the exhibition of Tajik folk crafts.
