Tajik Athletes Win Gold at International Athletics Tournament in Kazakhstan
DUSHANBE, 09.07.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik Athletes won three gold, four silver and four bronze medals at the International Athletics Tournament in memory of the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Gusman Kosanov in Kazakhstan, reported the National Olympics Commitee of Tajikistan.
Gulsunbi Sharifova ran the 200 meter race in 23.35 seconds and the 400 meter race in 52.7 seconds, thus winning two gold medals and setting the national record in the 400-meter run. Another gold medalist, Cristina Pronzhenko completed the 400 meters in 58.90 seconds.
Odilshoh Ismatov completed the 800 meter race in 1:51.86. Alisher Pulotov won a silver medal by completing the 400 meter race in 53.00 seconds in the men’s 4×400-meter and 4×100-meter relay.
Abdurauf Musoev won third place in the hammer throw. His result is 58,70 meters. Cristina Pronzhenko (54.53 seconds) and Gregory Deripaskin (47.44 second, national records) also took bronze at the distance of 400.
The annaul competition wherein 220 athletes from 14 countries competed was held on July 6-7 in Almaty.
