Tajik Juniors Took Second Place in the Presidential Football Cup of Kazakhstan-2019
DUSHANBE, 29.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The junior football team of Tajikistan (U-16) took second place in the international tournament for the Presidential Cup of Kazakhstan, which was held in Nur-Sultan.
In the final match, the Tajik juniors lost to the Kazakh team (U-17) with a score of 0-3, reported the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
Earlier in the group stage, the Tajik team defeated their peers from Armenia with a score of 2-1 and Kazakhstan (U-16) with a score of 2-1.
While taking second place, Tajik juniors along with the silver medal also received a $5000 cash prize.
According to the tournament results, the player of the Tajik team Alijoni Aini was named the best midfielder of the Presidential Cup of Kazakhstan-2019.
