Tajik U-16 Football Team Returns to Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 25.09.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The junior football team of Tajikistan (U-16), which passed the qualifying round to participate in the Asian Championship 2020 was met in Dushanbe upon their arrival from Jordan with a warm welcome.
Despite the late hour, thousands of Dushanbe residents came to the airport to greet the team, reported the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
Once the players and the coaching staff proceeded to the VIP Lounge of the Dushanbe International Airport, they were greeted by the Chairman of the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports of Tajikistan Ahtam Abdullozoda, Vice President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Alisher Urunov and Secretary General of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Davlatmand Islomov.
Officials congratulated the players on their successful performance in the qualifying tournament, thanking each athlete individually.
