UAE Business Circles Invited to the International Exhibition Tajikistan-2019 Autumn
DUSHANBE, 11.09.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda met the Director General of the Chamber of Commerce of Abu Dhabi Mohammed N. Al-Muhairi in Abu-Dhabi in order to discuss the state and prospects of bilateral trade and economic relations, as well as a wide range of issues related to the establishment and development of inter-chamber contacts between Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Al-Muhairi expressed hope that the visit of the Tajik delegation will give Tajik-Emirati trade relations more dynamism. He drew attention to the need for active development of relations with commercial entities through joint business forums, business missions, conferences and exhibitions.
Al-Muhairi noted the wide interest of UAE consumers in importing high-quality fresh Tajik fruits and vegetables in a wide assortment.
Jumakhonzoda drew attention to the intensification of cooperation on specific investment projects in key sectors of the Tajik economy, such as energy, mining, engineering, non-ferrous metallurgy, petrochemical industry, trade, construction, banking, finance, transport, agriculture and tourism.
“Today, the WTO imposes high requirements for quality and environmentally friendly food. In this regard, the issues of competitiveness of goods from Tajikistan are of particular relevance. Of particular importance are the export of Tajik food products, fruits and vegetables and the supply of fresh water to foreign markets. Tajikistan is famous for its high quality natural agricultural products such as pomegranates, lemons, apples, cherries, cherries, pears, plums, grapes, honey, dried fruits, etc. The country has created a favorable climate for growing rare varieties of apricots and grapes. Therefore, the export of Tajik fruits and vegetables to the UAE will provide an opportunity to familiarize foreign consumers with its products,” said Jumakhonzoda.
The meeting also focused on the supply of drinking water and other products under the Siyoma brand.
Taking the opportunity, Jumakhonzoda invited the UAE business circles to participate in the International Universal Exhibition Tajikistan-2019. Autumn, which is scheduled to take place in October in Dushanbe.
