Press Center of the Border Troops of Tajikistan’s SCNS Reports
DUSHANBE, 06.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On November 6 at 03:23 night, an armed group consisting of 20 masked unknown men with firearms attacked the border post No. 4 ‘Ishkobod’ of the military unit of Sultonobod border detachment.
During the attack, they captured 5 pieces of firearms (AKM). As a result of operation of security forces, 15 members of a criminal armed group, who were surrounded, were neutralized and five others were arrested. One soldier of Border Troops and one employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan were killed in this clash.
An operational investigative group has been currently established at the scene and an investigation is underway.
